Hey, Love!
Every journey has a beginning, and for me, it all started with a mix of doubt and insecurity. I didn’t know where it would lead, and I definitely didn’t realize how much my mind would need to change along the way. Losing over seventy pounds? That was part of it. But the real transformation? That happened inside.
Facing the Hardest Part… Myself
Starting this journey wasn’t just about seeing a different number on the scale. It was about facing the side of me that kept holding onto old insecurities, the part that whispered every reason why I “couldn’t.” There were layers I hadn’t even realized I was carrying… doubts, fears, habits that had become part of my daily life. And let me tell you, when you peel those layers back, it’s raw and real. But that’s where the real work begins. The biggest battles aren’t on the treadmill… they’re right there, within us.
Recognizing My Mental Barriers
The hardest part wasn’t sticking to a meal plan or sweating through workouts. Nope, it was the thoughts that crept in, telling me it wasn’t worth it, that I’d fail, or that I wasn’t strong enough to make it. Those were the real obstacles, ones that had been building up in my mind over the years. And breaking them down? It took more strength than any weightlifting session ever could.
Turning Triggers into Triumphs
I started to notice those little triggers that pulled me back into old habits and self-doubt. A photo that made me cringe, or a favorite pair of jeans that no longer fit… each one could’ve felt like defeat. But instead, I began to ask myself, “How can I?” rather than falling into “I can’t.” Bit by bit, I started to see possibilities where I once saw limits. It was like learning to tame a wild horse… intimidating at first, but once you get it under control, that freedom? It’s pure magic.
So, this is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share more. In Part 2, I’ll dive into the next steps… how I handled cravings, learned to listen to my body’s real needs, and found ways to outsmart those tempting moments that could’ve thrown me off track.
You’ve got this, Love! And remember, I’m right here, cheering you on. 💜
